INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS
Orthopaedic surgeons are specialists, so if you need to see an orthopaedic surgeon either in private practice or at a public hospital, you will need a referral from your General Practitioner.
However, to locate a particular orthopaedic surgeon you can also use our Find a Surgeon facility to locate a practitioner of your choice, which you should then discuss with your GP.
