AOA GOVERNANCE
The Australian Orthopaedic Association's corporate structure is one of a public company limited by guarantee.
AOA is governed by a Board of Directors elected by Fellows of the Association. The Board of Directors appoints a Chief Executive Officer to administer the organisation.
The organisation has approximately 1300 members, 10 full-time staff, a number of part-time staff from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons who provide administration in various states, and a large number of members in voluntary positions on committees or working groups.
AOA is a national organisation with seven state branches. Many of its members also belong to various subspecialty groups.
