MEDICAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE PACKAGE - UPDATE

AOA members will by now have received information about the MIGA Medical Indemnity Insurance Package for AOA Members.

AOA’s professional insurance and risk adviser, Marsh Pty Ltd, reviewed the relevant insurance market in order to secure a tailored medical indemnity insurance package for AOA members. Marsh recommended MIGA as best able to offer such a package.

Further information about the package is now available from the MIGA website, or call your AOA Client Service Officer at MIGA on Freecall 1800 777 156.

AOA does not give preferential endorsement to the MIGA medical indemnity insurance package and does not represent that it is superior to other insurance arrangements.

AOA encourages each member to carefully review the MIGA medical indemnity insurance package and its terms and conditions, to ensure that it is appropriate for their individual circumstances and insurance requirements, and to seek independent advice.

MEDICAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE FOR AOA MEMBERS

AOA is pleased to announce that a medical indemnity insurance package will soon be made available specifically to AOA members. This package will be known as the MIGA Medical Indemnity Insurance Package for AOA Members.

Over the course of the next few weeks you can expect to receive communications from MIGA in relation to their medical indemnity insurance package.

As the peak professional body for orthopaedic surgeons in Australia, one of AOA’s objectives is to advance the practice of orthopaedic surgery. Enhancing members’ access to competitive medical indemnity insurance can contribute to achieving this objective.

AOA’s professional insurance and risk adviser, Marsh Pty Ltd, has reviewed the relevant insurance market in order to secure a tailored medical indemnity insurance package for AOA members.

Marsh considered all available medical indemnity insurers and ultimately recommended MIGA as best able to offer such a package. The package issued and underwritten by MIGA will soon be made available to AOA members.

If you would like to consider the MIGA medical indemnity insurance package, members are encouraged to call them on 1800 777 156 and ask for your AOA Customer Service Officer and they will assist you.

If you are currently insured with MIGA, they will communicate with you regarding various features being offered to AOA members. You will have access to some of these now and some on your next renewal.
